Player Count / Server Type Recommended RAM
Up to 10 players on a Vanilla server 2-4 GB
10-15 players on a Vanilla or Lightly Modded Server 6-8 GB
15+ players on modded servers 8-12 GB
Really intense modpacks with high player counts, more than this may be excessive 12-16+ GB

3 Threads High player counts and intense packs could maybe make use of this, but it isn't usually needed.
